Sometimes clothing speaks to me, and sometimes it’s the location. In this case, it was a combination of both. The Lapis dress, from Jen’s Pirate Booty, is one of their most famous dresses. It has been used by many photographers time again for its style, as well as its ease of wear.
When we reached our original location, there was a very high tide. It forced us to redirect the session to another location rather quickly because the sunset was fast approaching. We landed at Windansea Beach in La Jolla. This spot is a popular destination for tourists, local surfers, and those who love to bring their chairs, blankets, and wine, to catch the gorgeous San Diego sunsets.
The Pacific Ocean’s blue waves crashing on the shoreline really made this mama & baby stand out against the beautiful rocks. When one location doesn’t work out, and you’re left with nothing but a pivot, you realize that some things are just meant to be!
