welcome

Hello and welcome to my site. I’m so glad you found me. Your senior photos capture you, as your beautiful self, in the last days of life before you head off to conquer the world. Our session will be fun, easy-going, and effortless and will take place outdoors in the natural light. We’ll shoot a variety of poses from fun candids to the perfectly posed, and it’ll be just what you need for announcements, prints, and social media.

I’ve been a photographer for over 25 years.  I have two teenagers and a 9 year old who totally acts like one. We have a mini Aussie Doodle named Kobe. He’s named after the late, great basketball player, Kobe Bryant. He’s wild and crazy and full of love. I love, hair, makeup, and all things fashion. I love music, acting, playing pickleball, and hanging with friends and family.

Thanks for reaching out and considering me to photograph you during this exciting time in your life!

FAQ

Q: What can you expect when working with me?

A: Fun, fun, and more fun!

We’ll chat about what your future plans are while walking to different spots to capture you in different environments and lighting. We’ll work together to incorporate your ideas. If you see a cool spot to shoot, we’ll stop and shoot there. It’s a relaxed environment where I’ll direct you, while also letting you do your thing!

Q: Where will we shoot?

A: I love to incorporate the many amazing San Diego landmarks. As you head off into your future, it’s wonderful to capture the place where it all began. School and careers can take us far away from home, and what better way to remember where you came from, then by documenting it in your senior session.

Here are some of my favorite spots to shoot:

  • Balboa park
  • La Jolla Windansea Beach area
  • The streets of La Jolla/Murials
  • Scripps Pier
  • The streets of OB/Murials
  • Point Loma/Sunset Cliffs
  • Cardiff/Seaside Beach
  • San Elijo Lagoon
  • Little Italy/Downtown
  • Iron Mountain
  • Los Penasquitos Reserve/Ranch
  • Felicita Park
  • Rancho Bernardo Community Park Loop/Trails

Q: What do I wear?

A: So many fun options!

  • Jeans/cute tops/button up shirts
  • Neutral colors
  • College hoodie or T-shirt
  • Athletic attire
  • Dance attire
  • Letterman jacket
  • Mini or maxi/flowy dresses/formal dresses
  • Accessories, hats, vests, belts, Cowboy boots

Q: Do you provide props, clothing, or accessories?

A: Yes, I do, but only if you need it. I do have a client closet if you need to access it. But I find that most seniors have their own styles that they like to wear.  I also have tons of hats, jewelry, etc…that can be used if necessary.

Q: Can I incorporate special props such as musical instruments or sports equipment?

A: Absolutely! You can bring anything that you’re passionate about.

Q: What time of day do we shoot?

A: Sunset!  I find that the lighting is the most beautiful during golden hour or within two hours of sunset.  All locations require a little different time though based on where the sun is at certain times of the day.  And we can make exceptions if you need something at a different time, such as the morning, but most locations look the most beautiful within the golden hour.   And the beach is truly best within 30-45 minutes before sunset.

Q: What is the best time of year to take my senior photos?

A: The time of year that we shoot is entirely up to you.  Do you want green lush grass and the possibilities of wild flowers?  If so, then the Spring is your time!  Or do you like the brown tones of the burnt out trails? Then Fall is your jam!   Winter can be the most beautiful time to shoot at the beach as the skies are gorgeous and the tides are very low exposing rocks covered in green moss.

Q: When can I expect to receive my photos.

A:  2-3 weeks is the average turn around time.  But it also depends on the time of year.  Fall is the busiest time of year for me as a photographer and the return times can be a bit longer due to the number of sessions I’m shooting.  I always suggest booking your session sooner rather than later just to give yourself enough time to get your announcements or party invitations out on time.  Your images will be available in an online gallery where you can view, share, download and order professional prints and other products.  You can even order your announcements/invitations directly from this site.
